Meet With Us: Visitors are always welcome

Event: Field Day 2018: Now complete. Good participation, good interaction with public, weather excellent with showers holding off until shut down. A full report pending.

Bulletin: Ballenas CubeSat: The CubeSat designed, instrumented with 6 Raspberry Pi computers and build by students of Ballenas High School was launched June 21, 2018 aboard the UBC Rocket Black Tusk at the Spaceport America Cup competition in New Mexico.  According to Carl Savage, the teacher responsible for the CubeSat project, who accompanied several students to the launch, “the main chute did not open and the rocket hit the ground hard. We are now going over our results.” MIRA looks forward to more information.
